Dear future grade six students,
I have a bit of advice for you for when you get into grade six. First of all, don’t be afraid of the grade sevens. They may be a bit taller than you but once you get to know them they aren’t that bad. Secondly, work as hard as you can on both the grade six work and seven work. You may think that since you’re going to do the grade seven work next year you don’t have to work as hard as the grade six work. WRONG. You need to work equally as hard because it’ll make the work a lot easier next year. Thirdly, if you’re in Mrs. Middleton’s class, don’t be afraid of being judged about who you are. You can open up to the rest of your peers as much as you would like and we won’t be judgmental because we welcome everybody with open arms. Lastly, don’t be afraid of being in a “split class” because well, most of you have already been in a “split class” before grade 6 so it isn’t very unfamiliar. We also do all of our work together excluding band so, we aren’t much of a “split class” as a class mushed together with students with different ages.
